I have been working on this up coming Cathedral collection for the past year. I very much enjoy creating my building pieces however, sometimes because I am busy working on this collection I haven’t had time to create for the fun of it. So last week I decided to take a break from the buildings and switch gears and really just have fun.
I have been watching lots of tutorials and videos on Acrylic paint. (If you just don’t have the time or just don’t want to leave your house after work again (especially during the winter!) but want to improve your skill then I would highly recommend watching youtube videos. They can be so helpful and there is so many amazing artists out there with great videos to help you.
With all my new knowledge and head full of ideas I started to play. I really loved every second of it. I remembered the joy in creating for the fun of it. How fun it was to play and try new techniques. How scary it was to try something completely different and to take risks. I loved it.
Here is a picture of one of my new, fun art pieces that I have been having fun with. None of these are done but they are a start. I hope to have them completed for April 23-24 for this years Fan art in Regina. (Which I will have a booth at. 🙂
I really want to try and do this more often- Go, play in whatever aspect of your life. It is worth it. I know I have to keep remembering this and practic
